Fitness, Realness

Pinch, Punch

I’m currently living in a building site of a bedroom, well not exactly living in it,  I’ve relocated to the next room until work is finished in mine.  Who knew I’d be living HERE  long enough to have to re-decorate?  Meh!

We really only have ourselves to blame, we’ve been dipping into our house fund here and there…girls trips and Beyonce tickets, necessities obviously but there were also a few less necessary purchases, like racecar parts. Ha. *jokes.  The next couple of months we also have my sister and soon-to-be brother-in-laws hen and stag weekends and of course their wedding.  House saving might resume some time in May *sighs.

Anyway enough of my sighs, I’m loving decorating and by decorating I mean buying lots  of candles and cushions and scrolling Pinterest .  I definitely have not been loving stripping wallpaper off.

I’ve never really been into Pinterest much but I’m currently loving it for interior inspiration. Everything on Pinterest is so pretty, I want it ALL!!

This is my favourite pin on my newly created “bedroom inspiration” board.  I love white bedding, neutral grey tones,  exposed brick and those lights are just yes.

For someone who is not a huge Pinterest fan I spent a whole 3 hours last night scrolling and pinning.  Don’t worry it wasn’t a complete waste of time,  I (mentally) decorated my bedroom as well as every room in my imaginary house, including my non-existant children’s nursery and toy room. Oh, my dream wardrobe is coming along very nicely too.

Procrastinating is a bitch!

On the plus side I found an awesome recipe for overnight oats, which were devoured after my workout this morning.

Speaking of working out.

You may remember I took part in a 12 week challenge with my fellow gym members at Fee’s Fitness.  Well, I only went and won…kind of!  Technically, I’m a joint winner, there are 3 of us, but still!!  I actually thought Fiona had totally forgotten about it (I think she had, as it ended in December and she had only mentioned it once since then) but she emailed us last week to let us know what our prizes were and asked permission to use our progress photos on her Facebook page.  Eeeek.  I’m really not looking forward to that part.

So I’ve bagged myself some free Personal Training and a Fee’s Fitness hoodie, both of which I’m due to receive in the next week.  Hopefully.

I never thought I’d ever post these but since they’ll soon be shared on Facebook for all to see.  Isn’t it ironic that when I was younger I  destroyed almost all the pictures that I felt I looked too skinny or too ill in and here I am now posting pictures of my muffin top on the Internet.

Anyway, here are my side by sides. 12 weeks.

I know they are taken at slightly different angles/lighting but it was so difficult to get an exact match, as my photographer threw a freaking tantrum if I asked him to retake it.

Would you believe me if I told you I’m heavier in the photo on the right?  3lbs HEAVIER, 6 inches smaller and a whole lot stronger.

Angela’s advice: Ditch the scales! Like NOW!

Well this turned out to be a random post, of my blabbering, I just felt like posting. Do you ever get that?

Are you currently taking on any challanges? Home improvements or Body/Mind improvements?

Thanks for reading 😊

Have a great day 💗

  1. I can’t believe you are heavier, but you’re right to ditch the scale because you look great. Congrats on winning the challenge and adopting the healthier lifestyle and strength training!

      1. I love pinterest! I have a home decor section for when I move out and have ideas since I don’t think that my decorating skills are all there haha.

Congrats on winning the challenge! You look great, you can see some abs coming in! Got to love muscles!

        1. Thank you!! I know, I’ve never seen muscle definition in my abs before, maybe with a few less treats and a lot less wine i could actually have a 6 pack. Ha!

    1. Yes yes yes! Maybe we should pre warn Oliver Bonas to get well stocked up on rose gold and copper goodies before we clear them out! Lol!

      1. Definitely 😄 I would have those abs any day you’re looking amazing. I would need a tummy tuck to get anywhere near that after 3 babies, I have strong abs but you can’t see them for loose skin 🙁 I have seriously been thinking about surgery recently since the family book is now closed xxx

  3. Maybe you being heavier means your bones are more stronger then before… Who knows but one thing is for sure, you got rid of that fat and now it feels like you will be getting a six pack soon enough.. Good going girl, you look fabulous.
All the best on the house savings 😉

  4. You look awesome! This is why I choose to go by measurements rather than a scale. I’ll take weighing more as long as I look and feel better. Thanks for the inspiration!
